One more Pick N Save run....

I couldn't help myself. If I can get an unbelievably amazing deal on something and donate most of it I am one happy girl. I had to go do the Unilever deal one more time. I just got back.

Now before you go rolling your eyes. I waited until this late on the second Double Daze so other people had lots of time to go get these deals. I am not the type of person to go wipe out the stock on any product no matter how good the sale. That's just rude to the customers and employees. It's Saturday night, anyway, so a new sale starts tomorrow morning.

I bought 10 bottles of Western dressing in assorted varieties. I use these for all kinds of recipes. Go check out their website to find some good ones. I also bought two more packages of the split chicken breasts for $1.28/lb.

I spent $8.35 and saved $30.13. I used one reusable bag too. I also received a Unilever Catalina for $5 OYNO. :) Anyone want to share your favorite Western dressing recipes?

My Pick N Save run.

This week's shopping highlights.

This was a rather slow week shopping, but I have been so busy planning my upcoming vacation that I am pretty much strictly shopping for that instead of deal chasing.

PNS:
I did two transactions. I spent more than usual, but I'm trying to get together my goods for my vacation next week. Order number one I got 4 Kraft dressings for better than free. They cost me $0.44 and then I got a Catalina for $3 OYNO. :) I bought 5 tomatoes, head of lettuce, 2 loaves of bread, Snapple 6 pack, Philly Mini Cream Cheeses, 2 packs/boxes of Philly Cream Cheese, 2 large Coffee-mate creamers, bagels, and 2 packs of YoPlus yogurt. All of the Philly items were better than free which took off $ on the rest of my order. Also free were both yogurts. I spent  $10.13 and saved $34.24. A 77% savings. I wanted to try and keep as much refrigerated items for the 2nd order as I go out to my car in between orders now. Order number two wasn't as thrifty as the first, but it was a savings of 54% so not bad not bad.  I had to get cat litter and cat food and Snapple is a higher priced no coupon item. On my way out I snagged a coupon book that we weren't lucky enough to receive in the mail so I added a few items to my second order. I got eggs for $0.68. Thomas English Muffins for $0.88. Fisher dry peanuts for $0.99. 2 free Lean Cuisines. 2 packs of Louis Rich Turkey Bacon for $1.50. A pineapple for $1.99....oh man they totally didn't scan my pineapple coupon. This totally means I paid $3.99 for a pineapple! Ugh! Well, I got 2 gallons Kemps milk for $3.I also used the Catalina coupon from my first order off this order. I was lucky enough to get a couple good coupons to print out from the magic Catalina machine. It better be one darn good pineapple. :P

Piggly Wiggly
I bought a birthday card. They always have 20% off for club card members.

Tomorrow starts a new week and I think I am going to hit up Double Daze at PNS. Happy shopping!

Friday, June 25, 2010

This week's shopping highlights.

I hit up Pick n Save for Double Daze. I needed cereal. What can I say?! PNS on Double Daze during a cereal sale is the place to be. :) I also went to Piggly Wiggly. Here's the best of:

Pick n Save
I did the buy 6 boxes get $10 off instantly and get a free gallon of milk and eggs. Sweet! I did two transactions. The cereal one first so I could use the milk and eggs coupon on my next order. I also bought flaked coconut, a loaf of white bread, Oreo Fudge Cremes, Louis Rich Turkey Bacon, two tomatoes, and a gallon of skim milk. Total came to $7.96 plus received my two coupons for milk and eggs. I tried a new tactic for multiple transactions. I only ever do two, but this time I went out to me car in between orders. I keep reading about etiquette and multiple transactions.

Order number two went horribly wrong. The second transaction I went to a different checker as they probably thought I was a weirdo for checking out again. LOL. This checker has given me some grief before. Not in attitude or anything. Just messing up my coupons. She's really nice too. I wasn't going to go in this lane, but she was free so....She only scanned 4 of my 5 coupons to double. So missed one there. Then she didn't scan either the milk or eggs coupons! That was like $5 worth of coupons between the milk and eggs alone. Grr. I was already in my driveway when I realized this. I was beat. I didn't want to go back and complain. I figured I got my cereal all for free so it was worth the trip anyway. I love Double Daze and don't want them to think it's not worth their time.  Anyhoo, I got 4 YoPlus yogurt for $0.79 each, 3 heavy whipping cream for $0.99 each, Old El Paso fajita seasoning for free, 2 Starkist tuna pouches for free, and DiGiorno Deep Dish mini pizza for free. I'm not even going to tell you what I spent for this transaction. :(

I went to Pig and got a couple things. I got a 24 pack of bottled water for $2.49. Dean's heavy whipping cream for $0.99. Gallon of milk for $1.99. They also sell natural potatoes that aren't sprayed with all those yucky chemicals for $1.09 (3 lbs.). Not an amazing price, but for being natural $0.36/lb isn't bad in my opinion. Anything amazing for you? Tomorrow I am hitting up Double Daze. I like to switch it up between my Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tomorrow is especially nice because it's Double Double Daze. They double 10 coupons instead of the normal 5. Here's to another week of shopping.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

This week's shopping highlights.

I did my first Saturday Double Daze at PNS. It felt weird, but good at the same time. Brought out a little uneasiness for different reasons. I always feel a little anxiety when I check out. I'm not sure why. I always think that even though I have my transactions planned out to the T that I still goofed up somewhere.  So a Saturday Double Daze brought these fears out again. Since I know Saturdays at any store are a zoo. I was a tad worried. I didn't do two transactions as I felt I was spending enough $ in the first one.
Here's what I got at PNS:
- BIC razors for $0.50 (used $3/1 Q).
- 2 Sea Pak shrimp $5.98 (used 2 $1/1 doubled Q).
- Oscar Mayer Light Bologna was better than free (used in ad Q + $2/1 Q).
- Motts Apple Juice $0.98 (used in ad Q).
- Rinaldi pasta sauce $0.98 (used in ad Q).
- 2 Classico pasta sauces $1.61 (used a BOGO Q).
- 3 Kraft Meltdowns were better than free (used 3 $1/1 doubled Q).
- 1 loaf Roundy's bread $1.
- 2 gallons Roundy's milk (whole and skim) $4.27.
- 1 seedless cuke $1.
- 4 cans tomato paste $1.88
- $0.10 reusable bag credit.
Total spent: $16.64. Total saved: $37.19  %70 savings. Not bad at all.

Piggly Wiggly:
I had to make up a party platter with dip so I spent more than usual, but it's almost summer and this is going to be happening more and more. The best deal I got was for the pineapple $1.49, but I see at Aldi's this week that they are only $0.99!

Save A Lot:
I just picked up some cheese sticks for the hubby :) $1.29 and bananas $0.33/lb.

Walgreens:
I just stopped in to pick up my free 8x10 collage. We gave it as a Mother's Day gift in a a frame. Did you get one too? I love taking advantage of deals like that.

Well, today starts a new shopping week for me, but I think I'm going to hit up PNS on Saturday because my little guy is sick sick sick, but we'll see. And I have to scope out the Pig and SAL flyer. Hope you had an amazing week of deals!

This week's shopping highlights.

This was my shopping for last week. My shopping weeks starts on Wednesday as that is when the Pick N Save/Copps Double Daze happens and the Piggly Wiggly and Save A Lot flyer comes out. Actually this week (two days ago) I didn't go do Double Daze at all. :(

Pick N Save:
I did awesome at PNS this week. I didn't buy a lot of stuff, but managed to only spend $1.56. I saved 97%! And I give all of the credit to it being Double Double Daze and awesome scenerios. I purchased 6 boxes of General Mills cereal, two packs of on the bone chicken breasts, 5 cans of organic tomatoes, a gallon of Kemps whole milk, a dozen eggs, and a box of Post Grape nuts. I used three reusable bags and received a $0.05 discount for each. I did two transactions. I also received a Catalina for a free 1/2 gallon of organic milk to be used in the future. I held onto that one.

Shopko:
I stopped at Shopko after I hit up PNS. I received a $10 gift card from the new store manager there. He is a really nice guy! His name is Mike Grant. Give him a big warm welcome. :) Looks like he has the store looking into accepting IP coupons! I got some Purex 3 in 1 that was on mark down to $3.49 for $1.49. Used the $2/1 Purex coupons from last Sunday's paper. I also got three bags of baked potato chips for $0.30 each! No coupon required there. These were full size bags too. Nice. We've been kind of low on snacks in the house so the hubbs was happy.

Piggly Wiggly:
I went and got my two reuasable green bags. They were $0.99 for two. I bought two Yoplait Greek Yogurt cups for $0.39 each. Got some Roma tomatoes for $0.89/lb. I totally spaced and forgot to get free Marie's salad dressing. Oh well. Can't win them all.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

This week's shopping highlights.

I went to Walgreens, Piggly Wiggly, Save A Lot and Pick N Save. I had an average week. Here's the best of:

Piggly Wiggly:
I got 4 SoBe Lifewater for $0.50 each. 6 organic kiwi for $1.99. Another gallon of PW milk for $0.99 and one bag of dried peas for $0.89. I made some yummy pea soup. Mmm. Also got two free Oral-B Indicator toothbrushes. $0.99 each and had a coupon for $2/2. Nice! 7-Up 6 pack bottles for $1. Had a $1/1 coupon. Bought the Oscar Mayer bacon for B1G2. Used two $0.75/1 coupons also. Dozen eggs $0.99.

Walgreens:
I went a few times for the deals. The first deal was for Cheez-Its. I got two boxes for $0.50 each. The kids like these. I also was excited to hear the Kotex RR deal was almost all month long. So I snagged another box for free. In case you are wondering it's buy one box of a U by Kotex product and use a coupon printed here. You pay $2.66 (with tax) and get a $2.50 RR. So it's like it's free. I also bought two bags of the Stouffer's Easy Express meals for $1.50 each. Used Facebook fan page coupons and received a $1 RR. So it's like they were $1. Got the hubby to fan them so I could do this deal again! ;) I also got the Schick shave gel for $2.99 plus a $3 RR printed. I picked up my 20 prints for $0.20. I used a bunch of RR that were expiring soon.

Save A Lot:
I bought some really cheap Coffee-mate creamer for $0.49. I had a $0.50/1 coupon and it was on sale for $0.99. Come to find out it expired that day and was on close out for that reason. Oh well. I quick made some iced coffees. When I make those I use a lot of creamer. I also picked up 5 boxes of Beechnut Barley cereal for $0.50 each. I had three coupons for $1/1 so I was relly excited, but the lady only took two because she thought it shouldn't exceed the price of the product. Well, at least I think that was her logic. So two thumbs down to SAL for their coupon skills. I did figure out that they took off the full value even though the cereal was only $0.50. So that was a positive. I'm freezing the cereal as I don't need it right now. Picked up some more bananas. Can't beat their price. Also got the hubby some cheese sticks. Ya know the ones with the cheese dip in the same container. LOL. He likes those. They cost more than at Walgreens, but cheaper than Pig or anywhere else I have seen. They also contain more product than at Walgreens. Just in case you are wondering.

Pick N Save:
I bought 4 DiGornio Pizza and Breadsticks for $2 each! Thank you Facebook!! Two 1/2 gallons of whole milk for $1.25 each. I got 3 Blue Diamond Almond Breeze almond milk. Each one printed me a Catalina for one free Silk brand almond milk. Value up to $3.99. Nice! I picked up 7 packs of split chicken breasts. Price was great for 5 of them. I made the stupid mistake of not splitting up one order of my chicken so two packs cost me the full price. Didn't make that mistake again. I got four 2L of Mt. Dew/Pepsi for $0.77 each.  Made a penny on Beechnut brown rice cereal. :) Cat's Pride scoopable cat litter for $3.95. I believe it was 28 lbs. 4 packs of YoPlus yogurt for $0.29 each. 2 free cans of Del Monte corn. 4 jars of Classico pasta sauce for $0.99 each. 5 boxes of Ronzoni pasta cost me $0.50. :) V8 Fusion only $0.55. This is my favorite juice! At the last minute I bought the Brownberry bread. It was BOGO and the ad showed it costing more than it really was. So for $3.19 I got two healthy loaves of bread. This is the type I like in the house. Even with my mishap I still saved 60% overall.

Overall a good week. I'd love to hear about your grocery deals! Wednesday starts a new week for me. I can't wait to see the deals. Bring them on!

This week's shopping highlights.

Forgive me, but I am a little behind. That whole blogging fiasco has me just a little off. Anyway, here's the best of the best for this past week or so of shopping.

Piggly Wiggly: I bought a tub of Best Life Buttery Spread for $0.19 (All You April coupon). Two Easter cards for $0.58 (Pig takes 20% off American Greeting cards everyday. Plus I had a coupon for $1/2). Three cans of Hunt's tomato paste for $1.07. Bag of Fresh Express Romain salad for $0.94 (look for peelies on bag that need to sell before expiration date).

Save A Lot: Bananas $0.33/lb. Two packs of Light Cream Cheese for $1.38. Hamburger buns $0.99.

Walgreens: This week is the week of Dove shampoo and conditioner!! So far I have purchased 6 bottles. Nothing crazy like I hear some people doing, but adding to my stockpile nonetheless. I managed to roll the RR into another purchase once. Then that perk was over the next day. So I scored 6 free bottles in essence. I still have $8 worth of RR at home to use. I also got two bottles of honey (reg. price $7.99) for $2.99. That is a stockupportunity for me! I bought three packs of Huggies swim diapers for an average of $4.32 ( I used two $3/1 and one $2/1 coupon). I'm not done with the Dove RR promo yet, but Wednesday starts a new shopping week for me :)

Shopko: Shopko has a great clearance one their Green Works dish liquid. I've been watching this price drop from $2.87 down to $0.89 this week! I thought it would drop slower so good thing I went back. Their supply is diminishing quickly. I'm going again tomorrow. Grabbed 8 bottles for $6.12. I had a ton of IP coupons and forgot they don't take them. What gives Shopko?! Do you live under a rock? I also got a free bottle of Windex's green version of multi-surface cleaner. It says it's on the Greenlist. Hmm. Actually I made $ on the Windex. So now I know Shopko gives you the overage. Sorta makes up for no IP coupons. I also bought a bottle of Palmolive Pure + Clear for $0.47 (priced $0.87 and had a $0.40/1 coupon). I got a bottle of Nature's Source All Purpose Cleaner for free plus overage ($0.94 and had a $1/1 coupon).  A bottle of Dawn Hand Renewal for $0.49 ($1.49 and had a $1/1 coupon). This price may drop in the coming days/week. I got water color paints to add to an Easter basket for $0.89. Bonne Bell Lip Smackers gift bag for $2.49. I snagged two of these. They each had 5 lip products in the bag! A pair of cute summer almost flats for $7 at Payless inside Shopko. A jumbo coffee cup for $0.99. Bonne Bell Lip Smackers Easter basket stuffer for $0.49. Set of 4 ice cream bowls in same style as coffee cup for $1.99. Set of 4 square plates in same style as bowls for $2.49. I'm waiting for the big place setting to get marked down further. Right now it's $49.99 down from $99.99. How low will it go?!

Apparently Shopko doesn't give you overage. Even though I was there two times in one day and the first trip they gave it to me. The second time the register beeped and we had issues. Grr. So Shopko just dropped down on my favorite places to shop ladder. This is one of my peeves for couponing. Between cashiers, managers and corporate....nobody really has a clue sometimes. So just assume no overage. If you are lucky and get it-great. I also want to add that I went to a different Shopko to see their selection of mark downs like I listed earlier. The Northland Mall Shopko's prices on their clearance are still quite high compared to the Kimberly one.

Festival Foods: 20 lb. bag of Purina dog food for $9.79. Tostitos for $0.98. 2 bags of Sun Chips for $1.96. 2 bags of Westpac frozen vegies for $0.96. Gallon of Festival Foods skim milk $1.48. Kemps sour cream $0.88. 2 bags of shredded cheese. $1.96.

PNS:  I was lucky to have had soo many of the Super Savings coupons books. I left trails of these coupons all over the stores! I was also handing them out to unsuspecting shoppers. They loved it like I was the coupon fairy. :) I bought more flour (in the end I think I got 6 bags. Hee hee.) for $0.99. More Tostitos for $0.98 and some were free on Double Daze. Two bottle of Nature's Source All Purpose Cleaner for $1.98. Ore Ida hashbrowns for free plus overage. Hormel Sizzlers for $0.78. Kemps gallon of Vitamin D milk for $1.39. Two Crystal Farms chunk cheese for $2. Two Rayovac 12 pk AA batteries for $4. That was a good deal! Two bottles of Green Works Bathroom Cleaner for $0.98. Imperial spread for $0.38. No Yolks for $0.25. Three pint bottles of International Delight creamer for $0.35. I got to use a coupon for $2 off from a checkout values promo so I counted this off of my creamer since I had coupons for everything else. Got a free CFL lightbulb again. I love those coupons! Last, but not least I bought two bags of Morton salt (40 lbs.) for $8. Good price for Morton at PNS.

Man I think that is all of it. Seems like I went above and beyond just highlights, but those were all such good deals I had to share! And I think I'm making up for lost time.....Well Wednesday starts a new week for me. Here we go!

Pick N Save: Did the General Mills cereal deal. Bought 6 boxes for $10 and doubled 5 Qs and used one more to take off $9.25. Got a Catalina for FREE gallon of milk and FREE eggs OYNO!! So I got all that for $0.75! I got FREE Double Stuf Golden Oreos ($2.99 value), FREE bottle of Excedrin ($5.99 value), Lang calendar for $3.50 (75% off), FREE 6oz. cup of Dannon yogurt, used $3 of Personal Perks for a total of $3.36 (saved $36.96). The nice thing about the Catalinas I used for the milk and eggs was that it took off $5.25 for me. My milk and eggs only came to $4.48. I thought it would take off $5.50, but I'll take $5.25. :) I spent $7.92 and saved $31.42 in my second transaction for a grand total at PNS of $11.28.

My total for the week was $60.46. This is a little more than I would like, but I bought a whole tenderloin and 9lbs. of ground beef. I'm happy. What did you get a good deal on this week?

New Coffee-Mate coupons available.

Go here to get the latest printable coupons from Coffee-Mate. I have yet to try the Stick Packs. Are they as good as liquid creamer? Don't forget you can print two of each coupon per computer. These will pair nice with the sale on Coffee-Mate creamer at PNS this week.

High value Cheerios coupon.

Go here to print off a coupon for Cheerios in the yellow box. It's a nice $1 off coupon. :) The coupon should help this week towards the General Mills cereal deal at PNS (Pick N Save) or Copps. Remember to hit the refresh or back button a few times and you can print two!

A successful week of shopping.

I like to recap the highlights of my week, but I have been a little busy so I am posting this now. It was a good run at Walgreens, Piggly Wiggly, Save A Lot and PNS last week.

Walgreens: It was the week of diapers at Walgreens. I did 5 transactions spread throughout the week. I bought 5 packs of Huggies. Came out to be $0.17 a diaper. Not bad not bad! I bought both types in one size 4 and the rest 3s. We are kind of in between sizes here. I also bought 4 dozen eggs for $2.97. I bought two packages of Golden Oreos and got them for FREE. I got a 32 oz bottle of honey for $3.29. I got 4 Mars candy bars for $1.57 (0.39 each) and received a RR for $1.50 for a future purchase of M&Ms. Two jars of Lindsay Olives for $1.68 (0.84 each). Crest toothpaste for FREE! That was a full size tube too. :) Two bags of M&Ms for $3.24. I did NOT include RR (Register Rewards) off prices to be used in the future. I only included them in the price when I was using one to pay for an item.
Piggly Wiggly: I bought 4 boxes of Sunbelt Granola Bars for $3.58 (0.89 each). Gallon of milk for $0.99. Maxwell House coffee for $4.99. I saved $5 right there. Three kiwis for $0.98. It was supposed to be two for that price, but their sign was posted wrong so they gave me the difference. Very nice people there. Store brand loaf of bread for $0.69. Certified Angus Beef Boneless Bottom Round Roast $1.99/lb. Rinaldi pasta sauces $0.99. Crest toothpaste $0.24.
Save A Lot: Bananas $0.33/lb. Cracker sticks with cheese dip $1.25 each. Actually found out these are cheaper at Walgreens so I will no longer be buying them here. Sweet Potatoes $0.39/lb. That's the best I've seen around and it's been this price for weeks. Hamburger buns $0.99. Russet potatoes $1.69/10 lbs.
Pick N Save: V8 Fusion $0.69. 6 bags of Kraft shredded cheese $1 each. MONEY MAKER: 4 boxes of Ronzoni pasta $0.82!! I love that pasta too. Great way to get some fiber while eating carbs!

Pick n Save Double Daze Deals

So I fared pretty well at PNS this week. I did two transactions and also took advantage of the Unilever promotion going on. This gave me a $5 OYNO (off your next order). First transaction spent $10.43 and saved $23.64. Second one I spent $42.49 and saved $27.93. So really I spent $52.92 and saved $51.57. I purchased 49 items. I also had to buy some high ticket items (in my book) for recipes that I was making. This included a bag of multi colored peppers and extra virgin olive oil. I didn't feel like running across town just to get some of what I needed for less. How did you do? Here's the best of what I bought:

  • Smart Ones Entree-FREE

  • Two bottles of Wishbone dressing-$0.84/each

  • No Yolks noodles-$0.25

  • Five tubs of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter-$0.40/each

Pick n Save Deals 1/24-1/30

This week was decent for shopping. Maybe my needs versus what my grocery store was offering weren't hand in hand. I only saved $38.39 and spent $42.40. Granted the hubby sent me along with some special not on the list requests. Also wanted to note my grocery store no longer accepts competitor coupons so I lost out on almost $6. Make a mental note! Here's the best of my buys:
  • FREE Lean Cuisine entree
  • FREE DiGiorno 200 Calorie Portions
  • FREE pint of International Delight creamer
  • 4 Smart Ones for $6
  • 2 gallons of Kemps Vitamin D milk for $3.80

Pick N Save deals 1/17 - 1/23

I did pretty good at Double Daze. I managed to spend $1.18. I did two transactions. It's kind of a goofy scenerio as I had to return a big box of diapers which gave me a $20.99 store gift card. I'm counting this as free because the diapers were a gift. I noticed that Pampers jumbo packs were on sale for $8.99 and I had two coupons so it seemed a better choice to get the two smaller packs. I got both for $14.48. $0.23 a diaper isn't amazing, but not bad. I had a little fiasco with my coupons. Yikes! I forgot to give the checker one of my $1 coupons for the V8 Fusion to double so I took it to the service desk and they gave me the dollar, but didn't get it doubled. At least a different coupon doubled in it's place. And it made me 2 cents. And it allowed me to get free Butternut bread. And the checker didn't give me the milk Catalina right away so I had to bring that up to the service desk also. I'm sure that lady thought I was a little loopy. Oh well. Here's the best of my buys:
  • 2 pints of International Delight creamer-MONEY MAKER $0.10 on each.
  • 3 Hamburger Helper $0.58/each.
  • FREE gallon of Kemps Vitamin A&D milk.
  • FREE Yoplait Frozen Smoothie.
  • 1 loaf of Butternut 100% Whole Wheat Bread MONEY MAKER $0.02.
  • Pillsbury All Purpose Flour $0.98 down from $2.69. Thanks Festival Foods!
  • Did the buy 6 boxes of GM cereal and get FREE milk. I used 5 coupons and that took off $8 ($20.34 - automatic $10 - $8 = $2.34 for 6 boxes and gallon of milk. :) Would have been $1.34, but checker jumbled my coupons so one didn't get doubled only took off $1. Boo! Still a great deal. That averaged $0.39/box. And FREE milk.
The family was happy that I stocked up on cereals they liked instead of plain Cheerios for my baby. I can't resist a bowl of Lucky Charms once in a while. :) Don't forget to use stackable coupons (e.g those from the Sunday Paper- Festival Foods). That's how I managed to make $ on the loaf of bread and my flour was so cheap. And one last thought. Don't forget that I had a gift card that had $20.99 on it to replace the diapers, but only used $14.48 so that left $5.52 to use as I pleased. And I'm spent. Did you get any great deals?
